After the passing of his beloved mother, Lavanya Duppanapudi, Surya found himself reflecting on the life she had lived—a life marked by compassion, service, and quiet strength. She had been more than just a devoted mother and respected educator; she was a pillar of support for women, the underprivileged, and the marginalized. Her unwavering belief that “Hands that help are holier than lips that pray” guided everything she did.
Determined to preserve her legacy, Surya along with his Dad founded the Smt Lavanya Memorial Charitable Trust a non-profit organization dedicated to causes closest to her heart: women’s empowerment, education, support for the physically challenged, and care for orphans and the elderly. What began as a tribute to one woman’s values has now grown into a movement that continues to touch countless lives.
Through every scholarship granted, every meal served, and every voice uplifted, the foundation carries forward Lavanya’s spirit—proving that one person’s kindness can echo across generations.
